endy emby & mark gould, jan. 8 - 11:54am-12:08pm
endy emby (that trumpet percussion duo from some-time ago that has commissioned many, many pieces and has a not-great story from their trip to Polland - Brian McWhorter, trumpet and Aaron Trant, percussion) meets up with trumpet guru Mark Gould (principal trumpet emeritus of the Metropolitan Opera and teacher at such fine establishments as The Juilliard School (cough) and Manhattan School of Music) for the first ever Sound-Bytes concert. If this one doesn't go well, it will cast a dark, gloomy vibe on the rest of the month. Gould has not made up his mind about what he would like to play yet but Trant has: he has written a fanfare called "FFF" which we will premier.
