renwicke (w/ simon lott), jan. 22 - 11:54am-12:08pm
Simon Lott, the drummer for the Charlie Hunter Trio, joins Brian McWhorter in a sectional for Renwicke, a fictional band in Southern Louisiana that specializes in saxophones. The two have never met outside of Renwicke and will converge on the stage at 11:54am Monday, January 22nd to outwit each other with sly licks, phrases and such for about 10 minutes. This should serve as a prelude to the hippest night of the week at Cozmic Pizza when the above-mentioned duo will be joined by local greats Tommy Sciple, Toby Koenigsberg and Tim Willcox from 8-11 pm, Thursday, January 25th.
